Stuff Joe Collector Likes: #6 Blogging
If there's one thing Joe Collector cannot get enough of (other than being mesmerized by bright, shiny, expensive cards), it's telling other Joes about his collection of bright, shiny, expensive cards. That is why Joe is a cardblogger.
Oh sure, for years Joe has been posting to the Beckett boards -- and still does. But Joe feels the need to let the whole world know about that David Wright game jersey card he just pulled out of a $20 Topps Blaster.
Joe was slow to adjust to the brave new world of blogging. (A few anonymous comments to Wax Heaven here; an e-mail to The Cardboard Junkie, there.) Then, after a few weeks, Joe took the plunge: He signed up for his very own Blogger account. After a "Welcome to My Totaly Awesome Blogg" post; a couple of posts highlighting his ever-growing Ricky Nolasco "PC;" a pair of rip-and-post Upper Deck press releases; and a cardshow review that totally ripped off Fear and Loathing, all of a sudden Joe thinks he's hot shit.
But there's one thing that Joe really loves blogging about: Shitting on other, more established, cardbloggers. Even though Joe demanded those other blogs to add his site to their blogroll while in his blog's infancy; even though he begged Ben Henry to add him to the list of A Pack A Day contributors; there is nothing that gets Joe's rocks off than biting the hand that fed and nurtured him.
"OH MY GOD! I CAN'T BELIEVE BEN HENRY IS ASKING PEOPLE TO GIVE HIM MONEY!" Joe writes. "WHAT A FUCKING SELLOUT! WHO THE FUCK DOES HE THINK HE IS?"
But that's OK, you see. Joe Collector is secretly jealous. He jealous that another cardblogger came up with the idea of asking for voluntary donations before he did. Besides, making a few extra bucks of his cardblog was never really in Joe's anyway. He's above that. At least, that's what he keeps telling himself over and over.

Wow Chris, if this isn't dripping with sarcasm, I don't know what is.
Either that , or you're upset about the hobby and turning into kind of a jag-off.
I'm offended and I'm not coming back Chris...
Just Kidding. Good Stuff.
The Fear and Loathing is still one of my favorite card blog pieces to this day.
Halarious post! what a bunch of dorks!!!.....hey, wait a minute.
I resemble those remarks... Add to them the stupid security code bloggers have to enter just to put up their two cents worth!
Speaking of "Mets-Jo..."
Howard Johnson has an autographed card in the upcoming Update and Highlights set. You know what that means.....yep
"HO-JO!!!!!!!" (the only time a "-Jo" word would actually make sense)
Ok, I guess I should take this as a shot at me? Its cool, comes with the territory.
