Stuff Joe Collector Likes: #1 Chrome

There is no doubt that Joe Collector loves chromium stock trading cards -- especially those that are virtually identical to other trading cards. Yes, it’s true that Joe isn't the only one who gets easily distracted by bright, shiny, objects. But I promise you that the first person who ripped open a pack of 1996 Topps Chrome (and actually liked it) was Joe. You could kind of tell he didn’t enjoy it, but year after year, he kept ripping boxes of Topps Chrome until he learned to liked it.
Joe needs to bust wax like Topps Chrome and Bowman Chrome. Hell, he'll even find a box of garbage like 1998 Topps Super Chrome on eBay and rip that. He's also fond of saying “Why does Topps even make regular Bowman anymore?” Joe will also collect anything that resembles Chrome: 1998 Donruss Collections, 2000 Stadium Club Chrome, 2006 Upper Deck Special F/X, and of course, post-2002 Finest. (It's got "AUTOGRAPH MOJO!!!!!!!")
If you want to go for extra points - Joe really loves Chrome REFRACTORS, because paying ten times more for what is essentially the same card, means he's a better card collector than you.
Labels: chrome, Joe Collectors, let the flame war begin, stupidity

yah, that guy is a jackass, or something.
chrome sucks
I like 2008 Topps chrome
$55 for a hobby box isn't a bad deal
The sad part is that this describes my brother perfectly. I'm so happy he is the Joe of the family and not me.
$3 for a 4-card pack is NOT a good deal.
Is this a parody?
I guess I'm a Joe Collector since I'm more impressed by Topps Chrome and its refractor parallels, than any of the regular cards Topps pumps out each year.
I guess remembering how 1986 Topps or 1987 Topps or 1988 Topps or 1989Topps felt in my hand doesn't bring back particularly good memories.
Ouch! I would have rather you stabbed me with something...
I agree they're the same friggin' cards but they look ten times better. And, they hold up much better.
On that note, anyone have any '08 Copper they wanna trade?
If liking chrome and refractor cards makes you a JC, then let me introduce myself. My name is Joe Collector! I like chrome and I love refractors. I dislike most parallel cards, but the refractor shininess really draws me in. Why does Topps even make regular Topps anymore?
I am proud to be Joe Collector in this instance because I LOVE Chrome and Refractors. 2008 Topps was so dull but with a little chrome it actually makes it appealing.
Oddly, I thought the "Stuff ____ likes" ended when "Stuff White People Like" got their bookdeal.
